How Sead is made
STEP 1
Sourcing
We source the highest quality, tastiest Sudanese sesame seeds with the perfect oil content for making our butter. All our sesame crops grow in fields free from pesticides and other nasty chemicals.
STEP 2
Tasting
We taste test every batch of sesame seeds raw to check the flavour of the crop is just right.
STEP 3
Separating
We remove the seeds’ outer coats to make a lighter sesame butter, with less bitterness.
STEP 4
Toasting
We gently toast our sesame seeds at precise temperatures to release their full flavour and lock in their nutritional benefits.
STEP 5
Milling
We slowly mill the sesame seeds in small batches on natural stones to create our silky-smooth texture!

Our sesame butter can be whipped into dips and dressings, stirred into porridge oats, slathered on toast, baked into sweet treats, or drizzled over just about anything! Savoury or sweet, sesame butter works great in both!
